PRIORITYwave Traffic Control System

The PRIORITYwave™ Traffic Control System gives responders instant wireless control of intersection signals after they arrive on scene. They can control when and how traffic moves, allowing extra time for pedestrians during events, or keeping traffic moving after an accident.

Simply plug the receiver into the cabinet's manual push-button port — the same port responders already have access to — and you're ready to take command with the handheld remote, app, or smartwatch. No installation. No waiting on traffic department approval. Just a wireless way to use the controls you've always had.

Your remote doesn't just fire a command into the air and hope for the best. Every press waits to hear back from the receiver — and if interference gets in the way, it automatically retries until the command gets through.

The receiver keeps track of every command it has already acted on, so those retries never double-advance the signal. One press always means exactly one advance.

Secure app connection

The CommandSignal app connects over Bluetooth® Low Energy using LE Secure Connections — the strongest pairing the Bluetooth standard offers — with authenticated, MITM-protected bonding.

Only devices you've explicitly paired can connect, and every command between your phone and the receiver travels over an encrypted link.

There's no need for special wiring or system upgrades — The PRIORITYwave™ Traffic Control System is designed to work with the standard manual control port already found in most traffic signal cabinets across the country. If your cabinet has a manual push-button port and a manual mode switch, you're good to go.

Don't have a manual-control port? Our Cabinet Manual Control Retrofit Kit adds one to older and non-NEMA TS-2 cabinets.

  • check_circleUL-Recognized Manufacturer: Our circuit boards are produced through a UL-recognized manufacturer using approved FR-4 substrate. This recognition confirms adherence to UL 796 standards for flammability, insulation, and material performance. We ensure every board meets the documentation and traceability requirements needed for agency safety reviews and compliance filings.
  • check_circleLow-Voltage Operation: Classified as an Extremely Low Voltage (ELV) device, operating safely at just 5V DC.
  • check_circleFCC, IC & CE-Certified Radio Modules: The system incorporates high quality wireless transceiver modules, which hold an active FCC ID under Part 15.249 for the 915 MHz ISM band. This ensures the module meets U.S. regulatory requirements for emissions and radiated power. Documentation is available upon request.
