The receiver keeps track of every command it has already acted on, so those retries never double-advance the signal. One press always means exactly one advance.

The CommandSignal app connects over Bluetooth® Low Energy using LE Secure Connections — the strongest pairing the Bluetooth standard offers — with authenticated, MITM-protected bonding.

If your cabinet has a manual push-button port and a manual mode switch, you're good to go.
