Manual control for virtually any cabinet.

Not every cabinet exposes a manual push-button port. The Cabinet Manual Control Retrofit Kit adds one, so responders can take manual control with PRIORITYwave™.

The problem we solve

Older cabinets leave responders without a way in

Modern NEMA TS-2 cabinets expose a manual push-button port that responders can use to take hands-on control of an intersection. But many cabinets still in service — older designs and non-NEMA TS-2 cabinets like the Caltrans Model 332 and 170 — never exposed that port at all. The controller can be advanced manually, but there's no jack to plug into.

The Cabinet Manual Control Retrofit Kit bridges that gap. It wires into the controller's existing manual-control inputs and exposes a standard port — so the same intersection can accept a PRIORITYwave™ receiver or a standard manual push button, just like a modern cabinet would.

  • power_inputExposes a standard manual-control port on cabinets that never had one
  • cableWires into the controller's MCE, interval advance, and logic ground inputs
  • buildMounts inside the police access panel — installed by your own DOT crews

Three steps to a manual-control port

1

Wire it

Land the controller's MCE, interval advance, and logic ground connections on the kit's terminal block — as simple as screwing wires into place.

2

Mount it

Secure the module inside the police access panel, where responders already reach for manual controls.

3

Plug in

Connect a PRIORITYwave™ receiver or a standard manual push button to the newly exposed port and take command.

Choose the right variant for your cabinet

Two variants cover the most common situations. If your cabinet already has a hard-wired push button and a manual-control switch, Connect exposes the port you're missing. If it has no manual-control switch at all, Complete adds one.

Pairs with PRIORITYwave

Once the port is in place, the retrofit kit turns an older cabinet into one a PRIORITYwave™ receiver can plug into — bringing secure, wireless traffic control to intersections that were never designed for it.

Compatibility Note

The Cabinet Manual Control Retrofit Kit is intended for older cabinets and non-NEMA TS-2 cabinets (Caltrans and similar), provided the controller exposes inputs for MCE (Manual Control Enable), interval advance, and logic ground. Cabinet wiring varies — contact your traffic engineering department, and reach out to us with your controller and cabinet model to confirm compatibility before ordering. We're happy to help.
