Meet the Team

CommandSignal was founded by professionals who've mastered traffic control, written the code, and engineered the hardware — all united to protect those who protect us.

Adam Lay

Adam Lay

Founder & CEO

Adam is a senior engineer at Adobe, a global leader in creative software known for products like Photoshop and Acrobat. With over 20 years of experience designing software and building technology that solves real-world problems, Adam has spent his career turning complex challenges into intuitive, reliable tools.

Outside of his work in tech, Adam serves with the Orem Police Department's Community Service Unit in Utah — a civilian team that assists sworn officers with traffic control during accidents, fires, and large-scale public events. It was during these hands-on experiences — often standing in busy intersections during Utah's harsh winters — that the idea for CommandSignal was born.

Adam's mission is simple — build gear that makes the job safer, easier, and more efficient for the men and women who protect our communities every day.
