Installation & Compatibility
The retrofit kit is built for in-house DOT installation. There are no specialty tools and no controller reprogramming — if your technicians can land wires on a terminal block, they can install the kit.

Once the port is in place, the retrofit kit turns an older cabinet into one a PRIORITYwave receiver can plug into — bringing secure, wireless traffic control to intersections that were never designed for it.
The retrofit kit is intended for older and non-NEMA TS-2 cabinets (Caltrans and similar), provided the controller exposes inputs for MCE (Manual Control Enable), interval advance, and logic ground. Cabinet wiring varies — check with your traffic engineering department, and contact us with your controller and cabinet model to confirm compatibility before ordering.
