Getting Started
Use this page when setting up PRIORITYwave at a cabinet.
1. Turn On the Receiver
Switch the receiver on and wait for the touchscreen to start. When the receiver is ready, the Wireless Control screen appears. Connect USB-C power if the battery is low.
2. Connect the Signal Cable
Using the included 3.5 mm TRS to 1/4" TRS cable, connect the jack on the top
right of PRIORITYwave to the cabinet manual push-button port. The cabinet
port may be labeled PB Manual Cord, Push Button, Manual, or similar.
Confirm the cable is fully seated at both ends before sending commands. See Device Basics for details on the signal jack and cable.
3. Switch the Cabinet to Manual Control
Open the police access panel or approved cabinet access point and switch the
signal to Manual, Hand Control, or the locally approved equivalent.
When cabinet manual mode is enabled, normal automatic timing may stop. The active cycle may be held indefinitely and may not automatically advance for vehicles or pedestrian calls. Restore the cabinet to automatic operation when work is complete.
4. Check the Touchscreen
The Wireless Control screen shows how many remotes are paired. If no remote is
paired, tap Pair a Remote or use the Manual Control screen.
5. Advance the Signal
Use a paired remote or the Manual Control screen to send an advance command. The command activity indicator appears in the status bar while the command is sent.
If commands are sent in quick succession, the receiver may need a moment before it accepts the next one. Traffic controller timing may also delay visible signal movement. Review How Signal Timing Works before operating a new intersection.
