Power Solutions

CommandSignal Power Solutions are portable, plug-and-play battery backup bundles for traffic signal cabinets. When a storm, accident, or infrastructure failure knocks out power, they restore signal operation in minutes — no generator, no fuel, and no standing in the intersection directing traffic by hand.

Each bundle pairs a trusted Anker SOLIX power station with a heavy-duty extension cable that plugs directly into a compatible cabinet's generator input port.

The Problem They Solve

When power goes out, traffic signals go dark. Drivers approach the intersection unsure who has the right-of-way, and the risk of collisions rises quickly. First responders are often left directing traffic by hand until power crews arrive.

Power Solutions give agencies a way to bring an intersection back online immediately, so responders can restore order while staying out of harm's way.

How Deployment Works

  1. Arrive on scene. Keep the power station charged in a vehicle or at the office, and bring it to the affected intersection.
  2. Connect the cable. Plug the extension cable into the cabinet's generator input port and switch the cabinet to Generator mode.
  3. Power restored. Signals come back online and traffic flows safely.

Why Battery Power

Traditional generators work, but battery power stations are a cleaner, quieter, and more practical option for temporary signal backup.

AdvantageWhat it means
Silent operationNo engine noise disturbing nearby residents or businesses.
Zero emissionsNo exhaust fumes — safe to use in any location.
No fuel requiredRecharge from any outlet; no gas cans or refueling.
Instant onPress a button and go — no pull-starts or warm-up time.

The main trade-off is runtime: batteries provide several hours of power depending on the intersection's load, while a generator runs as long as it has fuel. For temporary outages, batteries are the better fit; for multi-day outages, a generator may still be necessary.
