Troubleshooting
Use this page when the app cannot find, connect to, or control a PRIORITYwave receiver.

If traffic behavior is unexpected, stop sending commands and follow local agency procedures before troubleshooting equipment.
Quick Checks
- Confirm the PRIORITYwave device is powered.
- Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on the phone.
- Confirm the app has Bluetooth permission.
- Confirm the PRIORITYwave device is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Move the phone closer to the receiver.
- Confirm the connected device name matches the equipment in use.
Receiver Does Not Appear
- Restart pairing mode on the PRIORITYwave device.
- Keep the phone near the receiver.
- Confirm Bluetooth is ready on the Select a Device screen.
- Wait for the scan to refresh.
- If needed, close and reopen the app.
Bluetooth Is Off or Unauthorized
If the app reports Bluetooth off, turn Bluetooth on in the phone settings. If the app reports unauthorized access, open phone settings and allow Bluetooth access for CommandSignal.
Pairing Fails
- Confirm the PRIORITYwave device is still in its pairing window.
- Try pairing again from the Select a Device screen.
- If the app reports a pairing mismatch, remove the old PRIORITYwave pairing in the phone's Bluetooth settings.
- Restart pairing on the PRIORITYwave device and pair again.
App Shows Out of Range or Disconnected
- Move closer to the receiver.
- Keep the app open while it attempts to reconnect.
- Confirm the receiver is powered.
- If the connection does not recover, disconnect from Settings and pair again.
Advance Does Not Send
- Confirm the Control screen shows
Connected. - Confirm the selected device is the intended receiver.
- Move closer if signal strength is weak.
- Try the manual slide control again.
- If the app reports failure, record the message and follow local procedure.
If the app confirms the command but the signal does not move right away, the traffic controller may be waiting on pedestrian clearance, protected phases, timing rules, or cabinet state.
Notifications Do Not Appear
- Open Settings in the app and confirm notification toggles are enabled.
- Open phone settings and confirm notifications are allowed for CommandSignal.
- Confirm the app has reached a connected Control screen at least once.
Apple Watch Does Not Control
- Confirm the CommandSignal app is paired and connected.
- Confirm the watch app is installed.
- Keep the iPhone nearby.
- Wake the watch before pressing
ADVANCE. - Reopen the watch app.
Firmware Update Does Not Complete
- Keep the PRIORITYwave device powered.
- Keep the app open and stay near the receiver.
- Record any app error message.
- Reopen the Firmware screen and confirm the installed version.
- Contact support if the device does not return to normal operation.
