Update Firmware

The CommandSignal app can check for available PRIORITYwave updates and install one while your phone is connected.

Check for an Update​

After the app reaches a connected Control screen, it checks for updates. If an update is available, the app can show an in-app notification and a Settings link.

The Firmware screen shows:

  • Installed firmware version.
  • Available firmware version.
  • File size.
  • Release notes when provided.

Install an Update​

  1. Connect to the PRIORITYwave device.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Tap the firmware update link if one is available.
  4. Tap Download & Install.
  5. Confirm the update prompt.
  6. Keep the app open and stay near the device until the update finishes.

You cannot control signals while firmware installation is in progress.

While the Update Installs​

The install screen can show:

  • Preparing update.
  • Downloading firmware.
  • Ready to install.
  • Transferring firmware.
  • Installing on device.
  • Waiting for reboot.
  • Installed.
  • Install failed.

If the receiver does not confirm the new version after installation, the app reports the update as failed.

Cancel an Update​

If cancellation is available, the app returns to the previous update state. Do not disconnect power from the PRIORITYwave device during an update.

If an Update Fails​

  1. Keep the device powered.
  2. Stay near the device.
  3. Record the message shown in the app.
  4. Reopen the Firmware screen and confirm the current device version.
  5. Contact CommandSignal support if the device does not return to normal operation.
