Connect a Device
The app starts on the Select a Device screen. It looks for nearby supported PRIORITYwave receivers and lists each one by name.

What You May See
The Select a Device screen may show:
- A preparing message while the phone checks Bluetooth.
- A permission message if Bluetooth access is not authorized.
- A Bluetooth off message if Bluetooth is disabled on the phone.
- A scanning message while the app searches for devices.
- Device rows when nearby PRIORITYwave receivers are found.
On Android, if the phone does not support the required Bluetooth features, use a different phone or a paired remote instead.
If no device appears, put the PRIORITYwave device into Bluetooth pairing mode and keep the phone nearby.
Pair a Device
- Power on the PRIORITYwave device.
- Start Bluetooth pairing on the device.
- Open the CommandSignal app.
- Tap the matching device on the Select a Device screen.
- Wait for the app to finish connecting.
- Confirm the app opens the Manual Control screen.
During pairing, the app shows the selected device name and connection status. If pairing fails, the app returns to discovery and shows the error message.
Connection Status
After pairing, the app remembers the receiver and attempts to reconnect when the app becomes active again. The Control screen can show:
Connectedwhen the device is ready for commands.Connectingwhile the app is trying to restore contact.Out of RangeorDisconnectedwhen the device cannot currently be reached.
Move closer to the receiver if the app reports weak signal, out of range, or disconnected status.
Fix a Stale Pairing
If Bluetooth pairing stops working, remove the old saved pairing on your phone and pair again:
- iPhone — open iOS
Settings>Bluetooth, tap the info button next to the PRIORITYwave device, and chooseForget This Device. - Android — open system
Settings>Connected devices(Bluetooth), tap the PRIORITYwave device, and chooseForget/Unpair.
Then start pairing again from the app.
Disconnect From a Device
Open Settings from the Control screen and tap Disconnect from Device. This
ends the current app session and returns to Select a Device.
If the Receiver Does Not Appear
- Move closer to the device.
- Confirm the device is powered on.
- Confirm the device is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on the phone.
- Confirm Bluetooth access is allowed for the app in phone settings.
- Restart pairing on the PRIORITYwave device and scan again.
